I’m

and I grew up in Switzerland
As a kid, I spent many hours reading Enid Blyton books.
My parents were quite entrepreneurial…
They developed new products.
Early on I fell in love with the process of coming up with ideas and watching them come to life in the real world.
I wondered what I would be when I grew up?…
I thought I wanted to be an airline stewardess
Then I wanted to be a spy
Then I fell in love with theater (especially musical theater)

I have always loved art (in many different guises)
I also love to draw.
I went to a great liberal arts college and then I moved to NYC.

Over the course of 20+ years, I have worked creatively in:
fashion, photography, publishing, theater, film, advertising.
I have a particular passion for being involved in new things.
I love the following (in no particular order):
design (in every shape and size)
infographics
comics & graphic novels
art & artists
some of the work of bill viola and david hockney, calder, picasso, steinberg, miro, chaplin, oldenburg…too many to list.
my dogs, my partner and living just off Clapham Common
movies (both new and old)
traveling
theater
jonathan harris’ work
edward tufte and his thoughts visualizing information
the occasional ‘sun salutation’
I also love to ski (though I do it too infrequently these days)
I am in the midst of restoring an old farmhouse in France
I love working with technology and humanizing it in cool, fun and meaningful ways.
I like people who are generous, open-minded and playful.
My favorite website is www.ted.com.
